Obituary of Ralph D. Jackson

Age 91, of Minnetonka, MN passed away June 7, 2019.  Preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Arndt Jackson, his son, Dan Jackson, and his son in law, Victor Potter. Ralph owned a home building company in Ottumwa, IA in his earlier years and retired from the Des Moines, IA school district.  Ralph was an amateur writer in his later years and wrote articles for The Glenn where in lived at the time of his passing. Ralph loved reading and studying the Bible.  Ralph was a member of Prairie Community Church where he enjoyed volunteering in different areas. He was a kind and humble man who is already greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. He also was one of the founders of Rivermont Baptist Church in Kinston, NC where he was a lay preacher at the church for about a year. Ralph is survived by his daughter, Connie J. Potter, his grandchildren, Ron Christopher (Diahann) Potter, Kelli Nicole (Ian) Plater, Randy (Petra) Jackson, Mike Jackson, Josh Jackson and Noah Jackson, great grandchildren, Makenna Potter, Cole Potter, Lanie Jane Plater, Easton Plater, Amber, Madilyn, and Maddox Jackson, a great great granddaughter J’ Leigh, a brother, Lynn Jackson and sister Margaret Blount.  Many beloved nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.  A memorial for Ralph will be held in Ottumwa, IA in August, 2019.
