Obituary of Mark Robert Basco
MARK ROBERT BASCO
1963-2019
Mark Robert Basco passed away on June 5, 2019 at the age of 55, after a ten-month battle with gallbladder cancer.
He is survived by Deb, his wife of 27 years; sons Kyle (Erin) and Brad; daughter Elena; and grandchildren Isla and Kade. During his childhood years, he lived in Menomonee Falls, WI with his loving parents and four sisters.
Mark’s faith walk continued to strengthen throughout his adulthood, which gave him an incredible heart for Jesus.
Mark graduated from the University of North Dakota in 1986, where he studied accounting and played basketball for the Fighting Sioux.
Mark and Deb met at the BelRae Ballroom in 1989. Deb knew instantly that he was the one for her and, with only a little persuasion, Mark got on board. They were married in between the snowstorms of 1991, and raised their family in Plymouth, MN.
Mark was well respected during his 28 years of employment at Thrifty White Pharmacy, where he ended his career there as CFO. He has served on the Board of Directors at the Academy of Whole Learning, Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, and Thrifty White Pharmacy.
Mark consistently displayed a servant heart, both personally and professionally. He was a man of boundless skills, a fantastic friend, and a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and son.
Mark will be dearly missed, but we take comfort in knowing we will see him again.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 13 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 5005 Northwest Blvd, Plymouth MN. 3pm Visitation; 4pm Service; 5pm Dinner
