Obituary of Beatrice Alice (Mudge) Esse

Esse, Beatrice Alice (Mudge) Age 87, of Bloomington, formerly of Duluth, passed away peacefully June 5, 2019. Preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers. Alice was born in Mpls and grew up on a farm in Richfield. She married Howard L. Esse and together, they raised a family of 7 children in Duluth. She was a dedicated homemaker and worked at First National Bank and Benedictine Health Center before moving to the Twin Cities in 1985. Here, she worked for Banta Publishing before retiring in 2002. Alice was first and foremost a devoted and loving Mom with an unbreakable, positive spirit. Her rich laughter will be sadly missed. She was an avid reader, loved her morning coffee, crossword puzzles, knitting/crocheting, flowers, gardening and enjoyed the local nature paths. Survived by sons, Bruce (Debra), Donald (Susan), Clayton, Dean, James (Jamie), Ronald, daughter, Janet, 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. At Alice's request, no funeral services will be held. A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date.
