Obituary of Linda Grann

Linda Grann died Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the age of 75. Linda was born to Wilfred and Vivian Palm in Baudette, Minnesota on March 27, 1944. She was baptized and confirmed at the First Lutheran Church of Baudette. She attended Monroe Grade School (a one room schoolhouse), and Baudette High School, graduating as class Salutatorian in 1962.

Linda held various occupations at North Star Electric (Baudette), Airport State Bank, WEBC Radio (where she met Robert Grann and became his partner in love, life and business), St. Mary's Hospital, A&E Supply, Maurices, Fredenberg Township, and East West Realty. She and Robert are the current owners of Landing 61 Sports Bar in Two Harbors. She was a long-time, active member of the American Business Women's Association (ABWA), twice being named Woman of the Year. Even though she battled Multiple Sclerosis (MS) for years, her attitude was positive and her mind active. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, home decorating, antiques and scrapbooking. Linda was grateful for her relationships and time with family and close friends. She especially enjoyed playing cards, family dinners, and group gatherings at the lake.

Linda left behind a family she loved very much. Her husband of over 45 years, Robert, daughter Lorene (Robert) Jonell, of Woodbury, MN, son Scott Miller (Vickie), of Duluth, daughter Kristina Grann, of Two Harbors, step-daughter Allison Freeman (Joe), of Forestville, CA, and grandchildren Chloe` and Danielle Miller, and David Koivisto, of Duluth, Drew and Eric Jonell, of Woodbury, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Luverne Palm, mother-in-law, Adeline MacDonald, sister-in-law Linda Rae Grann, and her 26 year old cat and companion, Babe`

She asks that you not mourn her passing, but celebrate her life, Saturday, June 15, 2019, at a 3:00 pm service, with visitation one hour before, at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, Duluth. A gathering to follow at the lake with wine and food.
