Obituary of Kenneth James Dubel

Kenneth Dubel age 88 passed away Monday, June 3rd, 2019. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, at Cross Lake Lutheran Church in Cross Lake with Pastor Kurt Hagensturn officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the ceremony.   

 

Kenneth was born August 8th, 1930 to James and Dorothy Dubel. He proudly served his country in the National Guard and Navy during the Korean War. He graduated with an Electrical Engineering Degree from Iowa State. He married his wife of 63 years, Deanna Lee Ommen, July 10, 1955. Ken was a member of Holy Nativity Lutheran Church in New Hope, MN and Cross Lake Lutheran Church. He continued to honor and support the military as a member of the Cross Lake American Legion and served on the Color Guard. Ken had a long and rewarding career as an Electrical Engineer, then he retired and moved to Silver Lake in Merrifield Minnesota. Ken was a caring and loving husband, a great father, hardworking, and always there for anyone when they needed his help. He is survived by his wife Deanna, son’s James (Mary) and Joseph (Luanne), 9 grandchildren (Jeffery, David, Jon, Jennifer, Andy, Robert, Amanda, Daniel, and Teresa), and 14 great grandchildren (Lexi, Jeffery III, Camryn, Jacey, Lainey, Ella, Jaxson, Clara, Michael, Rory, Axel, Lucas, Nolan and Eliza). 
 

Kenneth was preceeded in death by his parents, 7 siblings, and his son Jeffrey Dubel.  

 
 

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Crosslake Lutheran Church and Crosslake Legion.
