Obituary of Mary Ann Reistroffer 

Mary Ann (Reed) Reistroffer 

Age 66, of Maple Grove, MN passed away on May 26, 2019.  She was born March 13, 1953, in St. Louis, Missouri to Anna Jean (Evans) Reed and William Samuel Reed.  Mary spent her formative years in St. Louis and graduated from Brentwood High School.  Several years after high school she met her husband to be, Michael (Mike) Reistroffer.  They were married on November 18, 1978 in Florissant, Missouri; shortly thereafter moving to Minnesota.  Mary and Mike welcomed their daughter, Vanessa Lea, into the world in 1981.  Completing the family were Mike’s two young daughters from a previous marriage, Melonie and Christine.  Mary became very active in the Girl Scouting community, serving as leader to Vanessa’s troop for 12 years, culminating with a multi-year troop goal of making a trip to London which she thoroughly enjoyed.  She was a long time employee of Honeywell, from 1979-1999.  She enjoyed summers spent at the lake, crocheting, scrapbooking, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  Mary was preceded in death by her mother Anna, brother Curtis, step-daughter Christine, beloved Aunt Lynn, and Uncle Charley.  She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Mike, daughter Vanessa Heise (Scott) of Hanover, step-daughter Melonie Jentges (Matt) of Otsego, grandchildren Dominik and Hailey Heise, Andy Jentges of Elk River, Jessica Fitzsimmons (Kyle) of Coon Rapids, Charles “Bucky” Stout (Kendra) of Tennessee, Ryan Stout (Kristina) of Texas, cousin Carla Robison (Dennis) of Brooklyn Park, and several great-grandchildren, along with many other much loved family members and friends.  Memorial service to be held at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7835 Brooklyn Blvd, Brooklyn Park, MN 55445 from 7-9 on Tuesday, June 4th.  In lieu of flowers, the family has designated the American Diabetes Association for memorial contributions.
