Ira R. Aymar

Age 87, of NE Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2019. Preceded in death by wife, Virginia; parents, Charles and Matilda; siblings, Irving, Geraldine, JoAnn. Survived by daughters, Teresa and Laura (Tim) O’Driscoll; granddaughters, Clara and Grace and nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a talented craftsman who had a passion for building and remodeling. He enjoyed time at the lake and spending time with his granddaughters, who brought great joy to his life. We will miss Ira’s optimistic outlook and great sense of humor. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday June 8^th at 11AM at St. Clement’s Catholic Church, 901 24th Ave NE, Minneapolis with a visitation at 10AM. Reception to follow. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery Wednesday June 12th at 12:30PM; Assembly Area #5.
