Obituary of Florence Ann Johnson

Johnson, Florence Ann (Altenhofen)

Loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt passed away peacefully surrounded by family Monday, May 20, 2019 in Champlin at the age of 86 years old.  Survived by her children Valerie Manning (Dean) and Mitchell Johnson (Mary), sisters Adeline Bencker, Carolyn McGloin (Jude) and Joy Gilbert (Donald), grandchildren Kelly LaBounty (Tony), Patrick Johnson (Stephanie), Randi Ault (Robert) and Shad Manning, great grandchildren Nikki LaBounty, Max Johnson and Thomas Ault.  Preceded in death by the love of her life, husband Arvid (Red) Johnson, parents Jacob P. Altenhofen and Charlotte Rose Altenhofen (Allen), siblings Benjamin Altenhofen, Edna Altenhofen, Henry Altenhofen, Mary Jayne Altenhofen Williams, Helen Altenhofen Wichern, Ila Altenhofen George, Linda Altenhofen Allrich, LeRoy Altenhofen and Elsie Altenhofen Keith.

She was a breast cancer survivor and one of the strongest people in the family. She was the glue that held us all together and we greatly appreciated that.  She was always there for family and friends and will be sorely missed by all.  She had a wonderful life and is where she was happiest, with the love of her life, her husband of 66 years.  Celebration of life on Friday, May 31, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7835 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Park, MN  55445, 763-560-3100.  Memorials preferred to the Cancer Society of Minnesota.
