Obituary of Gary V. Siemsen

Gary V. Siemsen, 76, of Duluth, died peacefully on May 18, 2019 at North Shore Estates. He was born February 18, 1943 in Duluth, MN. Gary lived his life in Hermantown and attended Hermantown schools. Most of his working years were on the ore boats sailing the Great Lakes. He retired from there after 30 years. He sailed on the Edmund Fitzgerald until one year before it sank. He enjoyed all forms of auto racing.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Katherine Siemsen and his sister Judy Kay Sedor.

He is survived by his brothers, Merlin (Belle), Emray (Linda), Randy (Lenore); brother-in-law Howard Sedor; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, May 24th at Bethany Cemetery in Hermantown.
