Obituary of William A. "Bill" Dolter

William A. "Bill" Dolter age, 87, of Esko, formerly a longtime resident of Morgan Park joined his loving wife, son and family Wednesday, May 15, 2019.

He was born March 29, 1932 in Duluth to John H. and Amelia P. Dolter. Bill was a graduate of Morgan Park High School, the Dunwoody College of Technology and went on to receive a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during the Korean War. He also served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve and the U.S. Air Guard in Duluth with the 179th.

On June 20, 1959, Bill married Jeanne Lindstrom. He worked at Nyland Electric and retired from Lakehead Electric in 2000. During his retirement years, he did occasional design work as Dolter Drafting and Design, and some contract jobs for LHB Inc.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne in 2012; his son, Blaine in 2014; and his parents.

He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Shirley Dolter of Rhinelander, WI; grandson, Jack (Anna Luehrs) Dolter of Holyoke, MN; step-son, David (Leanna) Lindquist of Portland, OR; step-grandchildren, Leala Roisum of Duluth, Casey Roisum of Denver, CO, Quincey Roisum of Denver, CO, Wendi (Johan) Hurtig of Seattle, WA and Michael of Portland, OR; many other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Barnes Care in Esko, who were outstanding in their care of Bill and also St. Croix Hospice.

Gathering of family and friends from 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. memorial service Monday, May 20th in the Cremation Society of Minnesota Chapel, 4100 Grand Ave., Duluth.
