Gay Hallberg

Age 82, of Mpls., passed away May 7, 2019. Preceded in death by her parents, Gordon Robb and Dorothy (nee Mack) Robb and her husband, Francis L. Hallberg. Gay was a school Clinical Psychologist and retired from the Mpls. Public School District. She enjoyed working with children and people from diverse cultures and backgrounds. Gay and Francis owned two floral shops; Lake Harriet Florist in Mpls. and Greenhall, Inc. in New Prague, MN. Both businesses were sold after Francis passed away. In addition to her various occupations, Gay participated in OURS, a non-profit organization that specializes in assisting adopted children and their families. Gay enjoyed traveling, exploring, singing and learning new things. Her final bucket list trip was to Israel, Jordan and Egypt. She was a conservationist and loved nature and all creatures. Survived by daughter, Lee Sue (Sergio) del Campo; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her beloved dog, Cayenne and many other relatives and friends. Visitation Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. at First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 7110 France Ave. S., Edina. Private family interment, Lakewood Cemetery, Mpls.
