Obituary of Beverly Ann Biron Wipson

Beverly Ann Biron Wipson, 85, of Duluth passed away in her home on Tuesday, April 30, 2019. Beverly was born on June 25, 1933 to George and Emma Biron. She graduated from Duluth Central in 1952. She married the love of her life, John E. Wipson on June 25, 1952.

She was a member of Glen Avon Presbyterian Church all her life, where she was active in the choir. Music brought a lot of joy to Beverly. She played the piano. She sang in the Duluth Light Opera Company, the Duluth-Superior Symphony and Opera Choruses. She also was a member of various groups that encouraged music such as WADSO and Matinee Musicale.

Beverly was an expert knitter and had a green thumb in her garden. She was a caring homemaker and worked for a time in Westman's Apparel in the Kenwood Shopping Center.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Jean Hustad.

Beverly is survived by her husband, John Wipson, son, Biron (Patti) Wipson of Duluth and daughter, Christine (Tom) McCabe of Duluth; grandchildren Michael (Hannah) McCabe of Duluth, Brian McCabe of Duluth, Andy (Allie) McCabe of Rosemount, Max Wipson of Chicago and Amity Wipson of Milwaukee. Great-grandchildren: Lily, Sage, Ian, Liam, Paxton and Penn; her brother, George Biron of Duluth and many nieces and nephews. And Tipper, her cat.

Visitation Noon until the 1:00 PM service on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Glen Avon Presbyterian Church, 2105 Woodland Ave.
