Obituary of Russell Franklin Pederson

Russell Franklin Pederson, 98, of Superior, Wisconsin passed away April 21, 2019. Russ was born January 23, 1921 in Superior one of ten children. Throughout his lifetime, Russ worked for several local companies. He was a proud veteran of World War II serving in the Army 119th Infantry 30th Division. While deployed he was a POW in Nazi Germany and received a purple heart for his service.He married Hazel Amundson of Superior, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his son, Fred Pederson and son-in-law Ted Fall.

He is survived by his brother, Don (Sue)Pederson, daughter Barb Fall, and daughter-in-law Sue Pederson. his four grandsons: Dan(Leslie)Pederson, Jeremy Fall, Jim (Leah) Pederson, Cody (Samantha) Pederson, and one great grandson Scott Pederson. He was loved and admired by many other family members and friends.A memorial will be held May 1, 2019 at Darrow Road Wesleyan Church, 4020 S. Darrow Road, Superior, WI., with a visitation from 10-11 and a service at 11 officiated by Pastor Mark Holmes.
