Obituary of Robert "Bob" William Specht
Bob Specht of Duluth was born on June 20, 1950 and passed away in his home on April 21, 2019.
He had a true passion for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, golfing at local golf courses, and fishing at Tofte Lake.
Bob rarely missed an occasion for sharing his knowledge with his family and friends. He always loved a good yard party to socialize and reminisce.
Bob had an attention to detail like no other and it served him well during his 25-year career as a union painter at the College of St. Scholastica, where he was known to take great pride in his work. He could always be counted on to lend a helping hand.
He is preceded in death by his father, John Specht; mother, Madelyn Specht; and brother, Tom Specht.
He loved his daughters; he is why they are strong.
Bob is survived by his children, Cara Lee, Maren (Lonny) Sironen, Krista (Nick) Christensen; former wife, Lynette Specht; grandchildren, Cody, Dominic, Anika, Ryder, Fletcher, Anna, Mara, Vanessa and Whitney; brother, Jim Specht; sister, Sharon (Doug) Renier; nieces; and many friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019 from 4:00-7:00pm at Mr. D's Bar and Grill, 5622 Grand Avenue, Duluth, MN.
Don't cry because he is gone but smile because he was here. Today we are sure he is happy wherever he is imparting his knowledge on those that are with him.
