Obituary of Christine Gramowski

Christine (Krystyna) Gramowski, age 80, passed away in the early morning hours Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at her home at the Augustana Regent Retirement Community in Burnsville, MN.

Born in Poland to Joseph and Stanislawa she was the younger sister of Danuta “Donna”. They emigrated to the United States shortly after World War II and soon became residents of Winona, MN. Chris graduated from Cotter Catholic High School in Winona.

A few years after graduation she married Robert Gramowski in 1960. She raised four loving and loved children, Elizabeth (Brad Cowan), Susan (Mack Rasmussen), Sandra (Steve), and William (Karla Stone). She was a dedicated stay at home mother to her kids as well a Babcia to her grandchildren, Brandon (Belu), Dalton, Ethan, and Jack.

Chris was an excellent cook. This was something she got from her mother and a passion she instilled in her kids who love to cook. Many good times were had around the dinner table with family and friends. She also loved animals especially dogs. Her favorite was Charm a black, brown, and white Shelty.

Christine had a big heart and a great smile. She found so much joy in doing things for others. She could also be very opinionated; she knew what she liked and did not like and would not hesitate to let you know. For all that knew her will not soon forget her eyes, her face, her voice, her laugh, and that smile.

A celebration of her life will be held at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Ave. S. Edina, MN 55435 on Sunday June 9 from 11 am to 2pm.
