Mother’s alway want the best for her children, Roy wasn’t perfect, however he was the perfect husband, and man for Sheila my daughter. He loved Sheila and did the best he could to take care of Her and Son Derrick. They were together for almost thirty years. God blessed that Marriage with a strong Bond of love and caring. They had what it took to make a marriage work. I’m proud to say that Roy was the best he could be as a husband and dad. He was a good husband and kind to his wife, Family and Friends. Roy I will always remember and love you, Because you loved my daughter so much. That is what a mother- in- law want in a man, one who Treat her daughter right. Thank you Roy you did a good job. Now Rest In Peace. Love you BIG J

My heart is deeply broken and no words can express how much I loved Roy. In marriage we united as one, and now half of me is gone. I will always cherish Roy’s loving spirit, enthusiasm for sports, wisdom, and great knowledge. Roy was a wonderful husband, my best friend, and number one cheerleader.

I lost a good friend of many years, beginning at the gym where we worked out together and after his health began to decline. I loved hearing from him about his days in Alabama and New York and his analysis of the various sports teams he followed. God Bless you Sheila. I know the last few months were not an easy time.9

It is with Great sadness & a Heavy Heart to have to say farewell to my Beloved Uncle LeRoy-known to us as “Unkie”. My uncle loved life, good food & a good time. He was the life of the party! He loved the Great Outdoors. He excelled in tennis, running & cycling. He also played college football. He was Handsome & Statuesque. He had an eye for fashion & always stylish. I loved being in my Uncles’ presence as a youngster. Even at an early age, he showed us that anything was possible & the sky was the limit. He was Magnetic & Energetic. He could also be stubborn, but so were his siblings-all were quite Strongwilled! They all worked hard for everything they acquired, coming From the small town of Atmore AL. He will Forever be in our Hearts & Soul. I will continue to speak Highly of him in a Great Manner, simply because he was a Great Man to our Family. Continue to Rest In Peace along with Madea, Unkie Floyd & Ollie Mae.

Uncle Roy was an avid athlete. He ran in marathons, played tennis, was a cycler etc. Also, traveled the world & had a thriving coporate carrer until his retirement.
He has left 2 aunts, nieces & nephews along with other family members in his passing.
We will miss him but we know he's in God's hands now!
Love you Uncle Roy!
