Obituary of James Franklin Lauer

Jim went to be with our lord after a short hospital stay. He went peacefully, surrounded by his family. Jim was born in Fort William, Ontario, Canada. He was a graduate of Duluth Central High School, Class of 1977. He joined the marines in September of 1977 and was very proud of his service time. He is survived by his parents Robert and Anne, his siblings Robin Ogren (Mark,) Daniel Lauer and Michele Vesel (Dan,) and his daughters; Jaimi, Rachel and Chelsey and their families (7 grandchildren.) He was preceded in passing by his brother David. Jim most recently worked for US Water in the Twin Cities. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing. His sense of humor and chuckle will be sadly missed. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to the staff at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, Minnesota.
