Obituary of Robert "Bob" James Kjerstad

Robert "Bob" James Kjerstad passed away peacefully, at home, on March 12, 2019. He was born in Duluth on June 7, 1951 to Virginia (Walczak) and Wilhelm "Bill" Kjerstad. He graduated from Denfeld High School and attended Vocational School. He worked at Clyde Iron, the State of MN Grain Elevators and AW Kuettel and Perrault Construction. He enjoyed Tuesday night Trivia, at the Gopher, with his team Mish Mash, which included his golfing buddies Bill and Mikel.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Larry Cook.

Robert is survived by his wife, Becky (Magnuson), who misses him so much; daughter, Sherry (Rich) Orrison; and grandsons Reese and Rowan, who he adored, of Scottsdale. He is also survived by his sister, Joni (Dick) Bratley; brother, Mike; father-in-law, Don; and many special nieces, nephews and friends. He will be missed.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 4-6 p.m., Friday, March 22, at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, in Duluth.
