Mary Pelkey

Obituary of Mary Pelkey

Mary Pelkey, 68, of Duluth,MN, went home to the Lord, and has been reunited with her husband John. She passed away on March 11, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Mary loved her family, especially her grandchildren, spending as much time as possible with them. She loved summer, and all that time spent on George Lake. Mary enjoyed her Grain Belt, while sitting by a bonfire, watching fireworks. Gardening was a passion, and she was always teaching her grandchildren how to grow plants.

Prior to her illness, she spent her Sunday mornings with John at their Sunday morning services at the Keyport. She had a deep affection for her Keyport family, especially Kathy and Connie.

Mary will be missed by all who knew her. She had a heart of gold, and was willing to do whatever she needed to do to defend those she loved. She will be especially missed by her constant companion, Moose.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, John; and her parents Roger and Alice Radabaugh.

She is survived by her children, Nikki Pelkey, (former son-in-law Marc Roberts), Julie ( Brett) Nordman and Phil Pelkey; her grandchildren, Samantha ( Nick), Jeff, Lucas (Jennifer), Chris, Gabby(Adam), Ashlee, A'ishah, and Isaac; her great-grandchildren, Little B and Rj.

She is also survived by her siblings, John (Patty) Radabaugh, Jim (Linda) Radabaugh, Mark (Leslie) Radabaugh, Kathy (Steve) Strom, Dave (Betty) Radabaugh, Carol (Roger) Tatge, Charlie (Kim) Radabaugh, Robin (Jerry) Bulthuis, Bob (Teresa) Pelkey, Howard (Coleen) Pelkey, Ross (Teresa) Pelkey, Rolf (David) Pelkey, and Russell Pelkey. She also loved all of her oh-so-many nieces and nephews and their families.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be on June 15th, 2019 2 pm-until the last person leaves, at her daughter Julie's house: 6840 Maple Grove Rd. Cloquet, MN 55720. Please join us in honoring Mary, and her late husband John.
