Obituary of Eileen Merabe (Nichols) Hanson

Eileen Merabe ( Nichols ) Hanson, 79, of Duluth, MN, passed away suddenly Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth.

Eileen was one of two daughters born to Edna (Haug) and Clifford Nichols of Duluth. She graduated from East High school in 1958, and married her husband John, in June 1962.

For most of her working life she was employed by Oberg Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Tech., which she thoroughly enjoyed.

She loved baking, gardening, photography, playing piano, volunteering at church, and spending time with family and friends. She was an amazing Mother, Grandmother, and Aunt who loved with all her heart. Eileen had a smile for everyone she met. She will be remembered for her kind, thoughtful nature, and selfless devotion to her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Edna; and sister Carol Mrozik.

Eileen is survived by her husband, John; two sons, Kevin and Randy (Tammy); granddaughter, Tovia (all who live in Duluth, MN); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation from 2 p.m. until the 3 p.m. memorial service Saturday, March 23rd in the Cremation Society of Minnesota Chapel, 4100 Grand Ave., Duluth.
