Obituary of Glenn V. Syvertsen

Glenn V. Syvertsen, 89, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019 in Edina. Born in Chicago, he graduated from Lane Tech High School, served in the Army during the Korean War, then attended Northwestern University for his Bachelors and Masters in Business. Glenn started with Corning Glassworks (Corning, NY) in 1963. In 1970, he began at Donaldson Co. and Edina became home. Later in his career he found great satisfaction and success as a long-range-planning consultant. He truly loved photography and golf which he was able to indulge in later in life, especially with dear friends at their home in Naples, FL. Glenn is preceded in death by his bride of 44 years, Trudy, and survived by his children, Carol Grzybowski and Mark Syvertsen; grandchildren, Ben, Nick, Gina, Harrison, Thomas & Ella. A memorial service will be held on March 9, 2019 at 2 PM at Colonial Church of Edina. Reception to follow at Kincaid's Restaurant. Memorials may be directed to the Animal Humane Society.
