Obituary of Thomas Allen Frye

Thomas Allen Frye, 59, of Wascott, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at Essentia Health in Duluth.

He was born on February 12, 1960 in Superior to Robert and June "C" Frye. When he was 12 his family moved to the cabin in Wascott and made it their home. Tom loved Leader Lake and remained there the rest of his years.

He worked at Gateway/Fleming Foods in Superior for more than 20 years and after the shutdown, he gained his dream job as a Fish & Wildlife technician for the St. Croix Tribal Environmental Department.

He loved his family, hunting, fishing, and being in the great outdoors. Just try to take him to the city, HA! You could get him out of the country though for a warm weather beach vacation during the middle of these Wisconsin winters. There were so many precious memories made on those family vacations.

He is survived by his wife, Colene, of Wascott; four children, Mitchell Frye, Katlyn Frye, Tara Thayer, and Cass Amy; three grandchildren, Mickey, Isabella and Atticus; sister, Tammy Cook (Tom Czech); nephews (Joe and Rob), and cousins.

He was loved deeply by his family and his many friends. He will be greatly missed.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, Robert and mother, June.

A celebration of life will be held in Wascott in the Spring (if it ever gets here). Family and friends will be notified of the details when those plans are arranged.
