Obituary of Roald Einer Molberg

It is with profound sadness that the family of Roald Einar Molberg announces his passing on Friday, February 22, 2019 at the age of 63.

Roald was born in Duluth and grew up in Lakewood Township and was a 1974 graduate of Duluth Central High School. He moved to California in the early 80's, and during his time there earned a Certificate in Technical Illustration from Los Angeles Pierce College.

Roald was an accomplished ceramic artist in Duluth, with many of his pieces having been displayed and sold in various galleries in Minnesota and Wisconsin. He was honored to be a member of the ceramic artist community.

Roald was greatly admired by many people and was known for his dry wit, his infectious smile and laughter.

Roald will never be forgotten by Ginger, the love of his life. He is survived by his brothers John, Vincent, Howard and Edwin and his sisters Vivian, Eva, Ruth and Adria and by numerous aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, George Molberg, his mother, Irmgard "Terry" Molberg and his brother, Benjamin Molberg.

A celebration of Roald's life will be held on: Friday, March 8, 2019 from 3-5 at the Cremation Society of Minnesota 4100 Grand Ave., Duluth, MN 55817.
