Obituary of Gary Henry Lewerenz

Gary Henry Lewerenz, the son of Rudolph and Martha Lewerenz of Darwin, was born September 5, 1942.  He graduated from Dassel High School in 1960. He joined the Navy in October of 1960 where he held the rank of Airman.  He was honorably discharged October 1965. 

            On August 28, 1964, he married Carol Burdick of Litchfield and moved to Anoka.

            Surrounded by his family, Gary passed away peacefully at his home on February 24, 2019, at the age of 76.

            He leaves to mourn his passing his sister Virginia Johnson of Cokato, his wife Carol and their children; David (Chum) and his wife Lana of Isanti, Michael and his wife Barbara of St. Francis, and Amy Gaffey and her husband Jeremi of Ham Lake, as well as his 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

            He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Martha, and his brothers, Vernon and Myron.

            Memorial service to be held March 9, 2019, at St. Francis United Methodist Church, St. Francis, MN.  Visitation is at 10:00 am with the service to follow at 11:00 am.  A private interment will be held at Fort Snelling.
