Obituary of Dennis LeRoy Nelson

On Monday, February 25, 2019, Dennis LeRoy Nelson, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 79.

Denny was born on July 3^, 1939 in Grandy, Minnesota to Edwin and Aileen (Harinan) Nelson. On December 22, 1990, he married Catherine Tamayo Nelson (Julian), they were married for 28 years until his death.

Denny had a passion for fishing and spending time with his family on Mille Lacs Lake. In his early life he flew small planes and played tennis. He also loved to bowl on league most of his adult life. He had a strong work ethic and built his own company, Nelson Stampings, Inc.

Denny is survived by his wife Cathy, his two sons Kevin and Keith (Pamela), his grandchildren Jessica, Quinn, Emily, and Alaysia, his mother-in-law Candie, his sister-in-law Christine (Edgar), and niece Diane, as well as many other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Ave, Edina, MN 55435. Visitation at 10:00 AM, service at 11:00 AM.
