Obituary of Vina Anjie Anderson

Vina Anjie Anderson of Proctor, died Feb. 16, 2019 at Essentia Health in Duluth. She was born July 22, 1928 in Gully, MN to Simon and Idella Bergerson. Vina grew up in the Gonvick, MN area on a farm and was the oldest of six children.

Vina moved to Proctor in 1950 when husband Lloyd started working on the DMIR Railroad. She was a homemaker and raised four boys and helped raise many grandchildren, as well. Vina loved to sew, quilt, knit, hook rugs, paint pictures, and garden. She was also a member of the Duluth Accordionaires Band Mothers Auxillary, and served in her church where she was member for many years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, always putting others ahead of herself.

Vina was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd K. Anderson; brothers Rodney and Bud Bergerson.

She is survived by her sons; Craig (Debbi), Keith, Todd (LeeAnn), and Wayne (Debbie), sister; Shirley Sinn, brothers; Roger (Shirley) Bergerson, and Dennis (Sharon) Bergerson, 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, along with many extended family members and friends.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019 with visitation at 10 am until the service at 11 am, at the United Lutheran Church, Proctor, MN.
