Obituary of Elaine Blanche Kohout

Age 75 of Jordan, MN passed away peacefully on February 15, 2019 with loving family by her side. Service will be held Tuesday, February 19^th, 10 am visitation and 12 noon service at Fish Lake Immanuel Lutheran Church, 20200 Fairlawn Avenue, Prior Lake, MN 55372.  On August 13, 1943, in Minneapolis MN, Elaine was born to Laura and Viggo Sorensen. Elaine married Donald Melvin Kohout March 20, 1962 in Lydia, MN. They were blessed with four children, the late Anthony, Jeffery, Annette, and Dawn. Elaine was dedicated to her family. She loved cooking and finding new recipes. She will be remembered for playing jokes on people, and giving gag gifts. Her family and friends would call her, “loving, caring, fun, wonderful, beautiful, humerous, and quick witted.” Elaine will be forever missed and cherished by her children, Jeff (Nancy) Kohout, Annette (Butch) Olson, Dawn (Dave) Kukacka; grandchildren, Amanda, Travis, Ashley, Alexis, Stephanie, Cody, Kayla, Melanie and Melissa; six great grandchildren; sister, Vicki Otto; and many other loving relatives and friends. Elaine was greeted in heaven by her husband, Donald; son, Anthony; parents, Laura and Viggo; siblings, Nancy, Duane and Harold; nephew, Dana Otto.
