Obituary of Marjorie Peterson

Marjorie "Peggy" Peterson, age 89 of Chaska (formerly Eden Prairie and Edina). Peggy was born June 29, 1929 in Chicago Il. She was a graduate of William Woods College in Fulton MO and The American Academy of Art in Chicago. Peggy was an active member at Grace Church in Eden Prairie. Her work career included time as a freelance illustrator and a runway model in Chicago. She also worked at Marshall Fields and then was employed by Patricia Stevens Modeling Agency in Chicago. Later, after moving to Minnesota, Peggy worked the wholesale clothing markets at The Hyatt Regency in Minneapolis. Peggy is preceded in death by her mother and father and her husband, Dr. Ronald Peterson. She is survived by her daughter Kara (Bill) Janssen, sons Todd (Jeannine) Peterson, Jeffrey (Lisa) Peterson, and her brother Jerry (Connie) Fleischner of Palm Desert, CA. Peggy is also survived by her grandchildren Amanda, Matthew, Nicole, Travis, Brianna, Lily and great grandchildren Alyson and Carter. Peggy's joy was her family, the North Shore of Lake Superior, Grace Church, Energize for Christ and CBS Bible Study. The family would like to thank the incredibly caring staff at Chaska Heights Senior Living that cared for Peggy with love and compassion in her final days. A celebration of Peggy's life will take place on Thursday February 21st at 1:00 at Grace Church in Eden Prairie with a visitation one hour prior at the church. There also will be reception for family and friends to gather immediately following the celebration.
