Obituary of Roger Lee Malzac

Roger Lee Malzac, 83, of Beaver Bay, MN passed away February 12, 2019 at Diamond Willow Assisted Living in Proctor, MN. He was born September 22, 1935 to Paul and Elma (Koivisto) Malzac of Duluth. Roger married Joan Berndt in 1953. They were happily married until her passing in 1996. Together they raised three children. He was a hard worker and enjoyed his 24 years at Duluth Spring Company. He later met Linda Garrison and were married in 1999. They moved up the north shore where they enjoyed four wheeling, fishing, hunting, snowshoeing, hiking.

Preceded in death by parents, first wife Joan, daughters Wendy Malzac and Bonnie Helliker, siblings Dick, Helen, Diane, Phil, Clara, Jerry, Loretta Cockerill (Rhett), Wilhemina (Peg) and Diane Kujawa.

Survived by wife Linda (Garrison) Beaver Bay, brother Lenny Duluth, son Roger (Debbie) Saginaw, granddaughters Holly Johnson Mpls, Mindy Malzac Saginaw, Jolene Malzac Sitka AK, and 7 great grandchildren.

Friends may visit with the family Thursday February 21, 2019 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at The Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave Duluth, MN with Service to follow.
