Obituary of Frances Sharkey Trachte

Frances Sharkey Trachte left this world on February 7, 2019. She was born on May 20, 1921 in Pottsville, PA. She spent her first 43 years in Pottsville, PA and the next 51 in Reading, PA. She resided in Duluth, MN for her last three and one-half years. Frances is predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Arthur, and her parents, Patrick and Frances Sharkey. She is survived by her seven children: Fred (Diana) of Tulsa, OK; Tom (Theresa) of Reamstown, PA; Art (Denver, PA); George (Pat) of Duluth, MN; Mary Cajigas of Reading, PA; Peg (Robert) Cross of Redmond, WA; and Carl (Mira) of Morenci, AZ. She also is survived by 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren: Nikki; Amy; Christina; Christopher; Greg; Juan; Sammie; Gabe; Annie; Zach; Heaven; and Lillyan; Marley; Brennan; Tommie; and Charlotte. Other than her family, her greatest thrill in life related to her Roman Catholic faith and her most cherished experience was cofounding and participating in The Third Order Carmelites of Reading, PA. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff of Diamond Willow in Proctor, MN and St. Mary's Neurology and Palliative Care for their dedicated and loving care. We also express our gratitude to all who touched a life that spanned ten decades. Funeral arrangements will be held in Reading, PA at a future date.
