Obituary of Gregory Donovan

Gregory Donovan, age 63 of Shorewood, passed away February 7, 2019 after a year long fight against pancreatic cancer. A special thank you to all that cared for Greg during his journey with cancer. Preceded in death by father, Marty. Survived and deeply missed by wife and best friend, Sharon; daughters Jessica (Kyle) Matheson and Kelly (Matt) Olive; grandchildren Rhett, Brooks, and Kinley; mother, Jeanette; siblings Gary (Joan) Donovan, Mary (Rick) Perkins, and Tim Donovan; brothers/sister in-law, Dave Peterson, Leanne (Tom) Anderson, and Tom Peterson; nieces and nephews. His family and friends meant the world to him. Greg was raised in Le Sueur, MN. After graduating from Mankato State University (where he met Sharon), he moved to the Minneapolis area to begin a career in the insurance industry. After retirement, he worked for the Minnesota Twins and University of Minnesota Gopher event Staff. Greg had an outgoing personality and great sense of humor; he loved meeting people. Heaven has gained a new social director. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 16th at 1:00pm at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Excelsior. In lieu Of flowers, memorials preferred to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (pancan.org), Park Nicollet Hospice program, N.C. Little Hospice in Edina, or Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Excelsior.
