Obituary of Audrey Marie Johnson

Audrey Marie Johnson, age 77, of Duluth, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2019, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Audrey is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Len Johnson; daughters, Leanne (George) Zissos, Bev (Jeff) Blixt, Cori (Craig) Beck; sons, Randy Johnson and Kevin (Michelle) Johnson; grandchildren Kate (Jeff Paulsen) Paulsen-Zissos, Chace and Shane Carlson, Tyrel (Summer) Nystrom, Ally and Matt Blixt and John Johnson; great grandsons, Thomas Zissos, Leo Carlson and Alexander Paulsen; and brother, John (Lola) Lofquist. Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Mavis (Jackie) Lofquist, brothers, David and Doug (Kathy) Lofquist and grandchildren, Ashley, Heather, Taryn and Chad Carlson. Audrey enjoyed raising her family, camping, hunting, sewing, gardening and canning. She also enjoyed the many foster children and daycare children that she loved and cared for, of special note, Jill Johnson, who lived with the Johnson's for over 20 years. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Golden Oaks Advanced Assisted Living, 4067 Reinke Rd, Hermantown, MN 55811 in Audrey's memory. Golden Oaks provided years of amazing care for Audrey, and her family will be forever grateful. A Celebration of Audrey's Life will be held in May. Notice of day and time to follow.
