Cawhorn, John D.

Age 88, of Golden Valley, MN. Passed away on February 3, 2019. John was in the weather service with US Airforce for 22 years then went back to school at the University of Texas, Arlington. He became the first Meteorologist for Cargill and served there for 18 years. Preceded in death by first wife, Dorothy. Survived by wife, Lisa; children, Ellie and Jeffrey Cawhorn; step-daughters, Kathleen (Tony) Walsh; Mary Lybeck, Julie Lybeck Myers and Wendy Hamilton; step-son, Ron (Nancy) Lybeck Jr., Mike Walsh, John Walsh and Patrick (Teresa) Walsh; 13 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Bonnie Cochrane; and many good friends at Valley Church. Memorial service 11 am on Saturday, February 16^th at Valley Community Presbyterian Church, 3100 Lilac Dr. N., Golden Valley, MN 55422. Visitation 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Valley Community Presbyterian Church.
