Obituary of Arthur Lee Johnson

Arthur Lee Johnson passed away peacefully on February 2, 2019, at Diamond Willow Assisted Living in Cloquet, MN.

Arthur was born on December 10, 1935 to Carl and Pauline Johnson in Superior, WI. Arthur enlisted in the Navy and was discharged for medical reasons in 1954.

He married Dianne Marie (Phaller) More on February 14, 1987, residing in Circle Pines, MN.

After Art retired from the United States Postal Service, Arthur and Dianne spent most of their winters residing in Raindance Park, Apache Junction, AZ.

Arthur was an avid gardener and loved canning vegetable mixtures and grape juice.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Dianne.

He is survived by brothers Robert (Shirley) Johnson of Texas and Dale (Judy) Johnson of Minnesota; sister Sandra (Kenneth) Grover of Colorado; stepdaughters Donna Whitney, Pamela Patterson, and Kathy Hadler; and nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by The Cremation Society of Minnesota in Duluth. No services will be held. A gathering of family and friends will be held in the spring.

The family would like to thank St. Croix Hospice staff, Diamond Willow Assisted Living staff, Garden Terrace Assisted Living staff, and Dr. Daniel Palmquist of Raiter Clinic for their compassionate care of Arthur.
