Obituary of Karen J. Santelman

Karen Janice 

Age 78 of Prescott, WI 

Passed away peacefully surrounded by members of her family, January 25, 2019.  Survived by husband Roger, daughter Laura (Greg) Goeke, sons Steven (Tracy) and Craig (Becky Hartung), eight grandchildren and sister Gail (Mike) Brenegan.  She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Paul.  Born in Winona MN July 21, 1940, graduated from LaCrosse Central high school and Swedish School of Nursing (Mpls) in 1960.  Worked at several hospitals and ended her career as the South St Paul school nurse in 1999.  Enjoyed boating on local rivers, reading, taking care of her dog (a Westie) and travelling around the world.  A loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend.  A Memorial Service will be Friday April 5, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Hastings with visitation 1 ½ hour before in the church narthex.  A lunch will follow at the Hastings Green Mill restaurant.  In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Alzheimer Association (alz.org).
