Obituary of Joseph Henry Nontelle

Joseph Nontelle passed away at home January 15th, 2019.

He was a kind, creative soul and had many, many good friends. Joe in his gregarious nature was the one that brought everyone together. He is finally at peace, and all his friends and family can take comfort in our hundreds of wonderful memories.

Joe was born to Norma & Leo (Shark) Nontelle in White Bear Lake, MN February 5, 1961. He was the youngest of five siblings, Debra Shearen (Jim-deceased 2008), Linda Anderson, Jaclyn Grey, & Madeline Schuhmacher (Curtis).

He graduated with his BA from UMD in 1989, where he also met his future wife, Jane Ebersviller. Joe and Jane were together for over 30 years.

Joe is survived by his wife, his sisters, father-in-law Rod Ebersviller, niece Lisa Anderson, nephews Alan Jacobs, Ben Anderson and Justin Grey as well as a great niece and nephew, Danika and Kaden.

Joe was preceded in death by his mother & father, mother-in-law Bobbie Ebersviller, nephews Jim Shearen and Nathan Grey.

He was a master craftsman, a softball manager, a guitar player, and an avid fisherman. He was a member of Goats on Stage (band), Goats on Ice (hockey) and Goats on Grass (softball).

There will be a celebration of his life at his home in Duluth(TBD).Joe and Jane's immediate family will have celebrations of his life this summer at Roosevelt & Crystal Lakes.

Jane would like to offer sincere thanks to the kind, compassionate Duluth police officers that helped immensely on the 15th.

Joe was a social, funny, charming, loving, and kind person. He will be greatly missed by all the lives he touched; his loving wife, family, friends and Miss Kitty.
