Obituary of Frances "Ed" Stein

Francis "Ed" Stein

On Jan. 23rd our dad, Francis "Ed" Stein went gracefully into Heaven in the arms of his daughter and caregiver Suzy. He joined his Heavenly father and the love of his life, Phyllis who was waiting for him with open arms at the Pearly Gates, saying "it's about time."

We cannot thank Suzy and her partner Dick Raymond enough for all the love they gave him as he health failed.

Ed was a proud American and WWII Veteran. He served 2 stints in the US Army as part of the 8th Armored Div. in the European Theatre. He worked many jobs but retired from the Superior Fire Dept. Ed & Phyllis were an intrical part of the Solid Rock Mission, both volunteering and serving on the Board of Directors. The mission, now known as the Solid Rock Haven was dedicated in honor of Ed and Phyllis Stein.

Ed was preceded in death by his wife of 65 yrs Phyllis, his parents Tom and Ida Stein, and his brother Harvey.

He is survived by his 3 daughters Linda "Cookie" O'Hara (Dan), Cindy Davies (Chuck) and Suzy Jarvis (Dick Raymond). Grandsons Chris Davies, Matt (Athena) Davies and 2 granddaughters, Harper Davies and Madeline Davies. A sister Lorraine Pashibin and a sister-in-law Irene Stein. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews along with a world of friends.

Per Ed's request there will be no funeral but a celebration of life at a later date. So to honor him thank a vet, a firefighter or police officer. Be kind to one another, live your life as Ed lived his- as a true Christian.

We miss you mom and dad- see you in heaven. 1st John 3:16
