Obituary of Beverly Jean Manns

Manns, Beverly Jean

Age 87, of Ramsey, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2019.

She was born October 5, in Minneapolis to Ted and Alice (LaTourelle) Almendinger, the oldest of three children.  Beverly attended high school at Central High School, Minneapolis and graduated with the class of 1949.  After high school she attended Minnesota School of Laboratory Technique and graduated in 1958.

On October 29th, 1960 Beverly was united in marriage to Charles Manns at The Little Brown Church in the Vale, Nashua, Iowa.  They were blessed with three sons.  She was a full time stay at home mom while holding various part time jobs.  While the kids were in school she always had time to host sleepovers, bring the boys to early morning hockey practices and any other activities the boys desired.

Beverly always had a smile on her face and was a kind, loving and giving person.  She loved spending time with family and friends and enjoyed being a host for lunch and card club parties.  She always made her guests feel comfortable and welcome.   No one would leave her house hungry as she always had dessert readily available or cookies in her strawberry cookie jar.

She also loved to travel whenever possible. Lake Ida was her favorite family vacation spot and also took multiple trips to Alaska where she always seemed to catch the largest salmon in the group.   She also enjoyed traveling internationally with Charles which included trips to Australia, Germany and Mexico.

She will be deeply missed by all, especially by her children and grandchildren.

Beverly is survived by husband of 58 years, Charles; children, Mark of Ramsey MN, Todd of River Falls WI, Joel (Kris) of Hudson WI; grandchildren, Melissa, Heather, Will, Drew, Ben, Evan, Tanner; sister, Terry Haugan and extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by parents, Ted and Alice Almendinger; sister, Barbara Aarestad.
