Obituary of Sheldon Clare Anderson
Sheldon “Bud” Anderson
Age 91 passed away January 16, 2019. Bud was born May 25, 1927 in Minneapolis. After serving in the Navy during WWII, he worked for the Minneapolis Park Board retiring after 35 years of service. Bud was a member for 67 years and past commander of the Wold Chamberlain American Legion in South Minneapolis. Bud was an avid fisherman, hunter, bowler and very talented wood carver. He participated in the Senior Olympics in Syracuse as a part of the volleyball team. His favorite place was at the cabin in Brainerd, MN. Bud will be long remembered with love and humor by all who knew him. He is survived by June, his wife of 68 years: son, Matt, and daughter Kari, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren, nephews: Jerry, Mark, David & Daryl; niece: Darlene. A memorial service will be held on Jan. 31st, 11:00 am with visitation an hour prior at Hope Lutheran Church, 5728 Cedar Ave., Minneapolis. Private family burial will take place in the spring near the lake when the grass is green and the birds are singing.
