Obituary of Joan Jeannette Kriske

Joan Jeannette Kriske age 72 went to be with her Lord Sunday January 6th while surrounded by loving family and prayer. Mom is in the best place possible free of all pain and with the rest of our family. Born September 9th 1946 in Ashland, Wisconsin to Edward and Irene Eder and raised in Mellen, Wisconsin. She married our father Richard Allen Kriske on March 2nd 1967, who preceded her in death on November 4th 1998.Joan is survived by her two sons, Richard (Terri) Kriske of South Range Wisconsin, Joseph (Becky) Kriske of Arden of North Carolina and her daughter, Terri (Kevin) Peterson of Duluth, Minnesota; six loving grandchildren, Cody Peterson, Keifer Peterson, Rhodes Kriske, Madison Hunt, Dawson Kriske and Eve Kriske; plus two great grandchildren, Ben Johnson and Maya Hunt; two sisters, Betty (Dick) Porter, Patricia (Ted) Sieraski; brother Daniel Eder Mellen along with several nieces and nephews.Joan was a loving dedicated mother and grandparent. She worked for many years in health related services and was loved by many. She had a huge heart and would give someone she hardly knew everything even when she knew it may place her in hardship. Joan never turned anyone away in spirit or assistance. Special thanks to Bayshore nursing staff and Essentia Hospice for helping make her final months a better place. I was amazed at the number of staff that stopped and shared a story about my mom and how she touched them. You brightened her life and we appreciate all that you did for mom as you made our hearts lighter during this final journey. Please join us in celebrating her life on February 2nd.
