Obituary of Janet Miller Heimbach

Janet Miller Heimbach, age 94, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019. She was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of Margaret and Wyman Miller.

Janet lived in Duluth from 1945 until 1968, when she and her husband, Van moved to Rose Lake. While in Duluth, Janet was active in the Junior League of Duluth and was honored as Volunteer of the Year in 1960. She was President of the Duluth Women's Republican Club and did volunteer work as 13th Precinct Chairman at that time. After moving to their summer lake home permanently in 1968, Janet enjoyed many years association with the Duluth Women's Club and P.E.O. Sisterhood.

Janet was preceded in death by her twin brother, John Walker Miller; her son, John in 2006; parents; brothers, Bill and Wyman; and sister, Mary.

Janet is survived by her husband, J.V.V. "Van" Heimbrach; sons, Robert and David; grandchildren, Ann Heimbrach, Dr. Julie Heimbrach (David Albrecht), and Robert Heimbrach, III (Shelly); great-grandchildren, Caity, Tyler, Van, Ava, Karly, and Sydney; great-great-grandchildren, Maven and Molly.

At Janet's request, there will be no memorial service. Friends and family may join together to remember her in any way they wish.
