Obituary of Raymond A. Steltz

Raymond A. Steltz, 71 of Superior passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the Chris Jensen Health and Rehabilitation Center in Duluth, Minnesota with family by his side.

He was born on January 24, 1947 in Ashland, WI to Oscar and Margaret (Houle) Steltz.

Ray served his country in Viet Nam in the United States Army. He worked for many years at Tri State Business Systems as a repair technician.

Ray's greatest passions were playing golf and pool, singing karaoke, fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends.

Ray has three sons, Robert and Matt Steltz of Fargo, North Dakota and Robby of Superior, WI; grandson, Cody of Poplar, WI; and two great grandchildren; one sister, Patricia (Charles) Pruett, Silsbee, TX; six brothers, Len (Joan) Steltz, Larry (Dawn Staples) Steltz, Gary (Betsy) Steltz, all of Superior, WI, Earl (Joy) Steltz, Silsbee, TX, Jeff Steltz, Superior, WI and Joe (Marcia) Steltz, Charlotte, MI; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Edna Wuori and brothers Arthur "Chucky" Steltz and Dale Steltz.

Per his request, no services will be held. Ray will be interred at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Duluth, MN. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
