Obituary of Isaiah Lawson Stoos

Isaiah Lawson Stoos, age 15, lost his long and courageous battle with depression and anxiety on January 10, 2019 at his home in Burnsville, MN. Though we are greatly saddened, we find relief knowing his soul is at peace.

Isaiah was born February 5, 2003 in Jacksonville, FL and adopted into the large loving Stoos family at 6 months old. Isaiah is survived by his mother and father, Judy and Larry Stoos, and siblings: Josh, Tammi, Aubrey (Brian), Brittany (Sam), Kendra (Mitchell), Ahnie, Kelsey and Carlton. He is also survived by maternal grandparents, David and Mary Lou Taylor, paternal grandmother, Mary Stoos, as well as many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins. Being the youngest in a large family, he was adored by many, especially his two nieces who live nearby. Isaiah was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Harold Stoos.

Isaiah enjoyed snowboarding, playing games with his family, acting, music (especially Ariana Grande), and recently discovered a love of the ocean. He was a junk food and adrenaline junkie, demonstrated by his love of cheese curds and rollercoasters. Each year Isaiah looked forward to Halloween and thoroughly enjoyed dressing up. He was a jokester at heart and had the most amazing laugh and smile, both of which will be missed immensely.

The family will be having private gatherings of remembrance and support. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a suicide awareness/prevention organization of your choice.

Isaiah will be remembered as the funny mama’s boy he always was. Wee wop
