Obituary of Harold Robert Erikson

Erikson, Harold Robert 

Age 96. Died on January 8, 2019. Born June 19, 1922 to Sven and Signe Erikson in St. Paul. Graduated Johnson High School in 1939.  Entered the Army in 1942 and served as a Sgt in the 112th Infantry Combat Team in the South Pacific until discharge in October 1945. On return home married childhood sweetheart, Merlyn Stone on December 1, 1945. He became a Mason in 1946 and was a current member of the Phoenix Day Light Lodge 350 in Savage, MN. Using the GI Bill graduated from the U of M Law School in 1950 specializing in Labor Relations. Preceded in death by Merlyn in 2002. Survived by daughters, Nancy, Joanne and Kathleen; his grandchildren, Abby, Brian, Richard and Matthew and six great grandchildren. He requested there be no private or public service and that the obituary say “thank you to the many, many people who made my life a truly joyful and blessed journey”.
