Obituary of Linda Letnes Lewis

Linda Letnes Lewis of Hastings,MN passed away on January 3rd 2019 at United Hospital in St. Paul,MN after a six month battle with brain cancer. Linda Dianne Letnes was born September 12th 1947 to John and Helen (Klemetson) Letnes. She was raised on the Elmwood Farm in Hillsboro, ND, and graduated from high school in 1965. She attended Augsburg College, Minneapolis, MN and furthered her studies at the University of MN. She married John P. Lewis of Minneapolis, MN, and they  lived in Ortonville, MN, Windom, MN, and Dubuque, IA before moving to Hastings,MN.  

Linda is survived by her children, Kristina Kowalski and her husband Rick of Chicago, Il, Robert and his wife Charity of Burnsville, MN, and Michael of Minnetonka, MN, and her beloved grandchildren, Elise, Richie, Tylan, Avery and Ally. 

She is also survived by her siblings, Jerry (Joan) Letnes, Ilene (Ken) Lorenz, Janet Letnes Martin, Steve (Cindy) Letnes, Curt (Peg) Letnes, and Nancy (Richard) Edison; in addition to many nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her husband John in 2016, her parents John and Helen Letnes, and brothers-in-laws Neil Martin and Doug Smith. 

Services will be held on January 12th, 2019 at 12:00 noon in the Historic Lakewood Cemetery Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Avenue, MPLS, MN, with lunch to follow. God bless her memory.
