Obituary of Audrey Ann Phillips

Phillips, Audrey Ann of Coon Rapids and formerly of Fridley, MN, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2019, at age 90. Audrey was born in Hibbing, MN and graduated from Proctor High School and attended Duluth State Teachers College (now the University of Minnesota Duluth). Audrey was a lifelong homemaker for her family of eight. An accomplished cook, she enjoyed entertaining and hosting family gatherings. Preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Hilda Oakes, and her loving husband of 71 years, Jack. Survived by brother, Lawrence (Carol) and children, Katherine Rodriguez (Sam), Gary, Patricia, Jon (Diane), James (Julie) and Steven (Anna), and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. A private memorial will be held. Interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery at a later date. The family wishes to thank Homestead of Coon Rapids and Anoka and Interim Healthcare/Hospice for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice in Audrey’s name.
