Obituary of Virginia Rorwick
Rorwick, Virginia W. "Ginger" Age 87, formally of Fridley and Pine City, passed away on December 10, 2018. Preceded in death by her husband, Donald; son, David; parents John and Julia (Rootkie) Folta. Survived by her daughter, and best friend, Karen Clark; devoted grandchildren Cody and Kaylee Clark; daughter-in-law Pamela (Steve) Rorwick-Squires; son-in-law Daniel Clark; cat Cowie; best friend, and her sister as she called her, Violet "Vi" Rootkie; and many relatives and dear friends. A special thank you to her cousin Marsha Dziedzic. Ginger had an active life in Fridley taking care of her family, working at Northrup King Seed and volunteering with Unity Hospital Fridley Auxiliary. In her retirement, Ginger moved to her lake home on Cross Lake in Pine City, MN. She was enjoying her life gardening, playing cards, putting together puzzles and volunteering at Pine City Senior Center until an unfortunate fall happened while she was a patient at First Light Hospital in Mora, MN on August 30, 2016. This fall left her with a traumatic brain injury that required 24/7 care for the rest of her life. Ginger resided first after the fall at Park River Estates Coon Rapids and then Benedictine Health Care New Brighton. Please come and celebrate Ginger's life on Sunday, February 10, 2019 from 12:00 to 3:00 at Brookhall Event Center (next to Blainebrook bowl), 11930 Central Avenue NE Blaine, MN 55434. Catered luncheon to be held from 12:00 to 3:00. Private interment at Fort Snelling with her beloved Don at a later date.
