79, died Jan. 2, 2019. Born Jan. 17, 1939 in Minneapolis to Ida (Davey) and Edward O. Jacobson, he lived in the house that he was raised. Ed was a member of Iron Workers Local 512 and business owner. He was a voracious seeker of information, had a passion for flying and talent for rebuilding aircraft – building anything and everything, really. Generous with his time, knowledge and tools, he lived on his own terms. Ed was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Richard and Annelie. He is survived by his loving wife Sharon of 55 years, daughters Joyce (Jerry) and Joanna (Paul), brothers Merrill, Donald (Ann) and Melvin (Gwen), in-laws Patricia and John, many nieces, nephews and longtime friends. A celebration of Ed’s life will be held on Friday, Jan. 11, 2019 at Redeemer Lutheran Church. 61 Mississippi St. NE, Fridley. Visitation at 10 a.m., service at 11 a.m.
