Obituary of Sharon Faith (Kroll) Manz

Sharon Faith (Kroll) Manz, age 70, of Duluth went to meet Her Lord on Monday, December 31, 2018 after a courageous battle with Progressive Supernuclear Palsy (PSP).

She was born to Edward and Bertha Kroll on May 13, 1948 only three minutes after her sister, Karen. Sharon graduated from Proctor High School in 1966 and married Clarence Robert Manz on May 4, 1968. She worked for Joe Hues, Walgreens in the Plaza and Woolworth's downtown coffee shops, retiring from Comfort Inn Housekeeping after 15 years.

Sharon loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. Her passion was her dog collection, baking and completing Word Find puzzles.

She is survived by her husband, Clarence daughters, Sheryl (Brian) Sandberg of Eagan, MN and Kimberly (DJ) Strom of Weston, WI; grandkids, Ruby, Hannah (Riley), Zachary, Heather, Grace, Timothy, Gabriel and Josiah; brother, Daniel (Pam) Peterson, sisters, Karen (Dave) Halberg and Leota Strom; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

A sincere thank you to all the staff at the Neuro-Trauma I.C.U., at Essentia Health and the wonderful staff at Viewcrest for the care they gave Sharon in her last days but especially to her loving husband, Clarence for the constant care he's given Sharon over the years.

Gathering of family and friends from 10 am until the 11 am funeral service Saturday, Jan. 12th at Hermantown Community Church, 4880 Maple Grove Rd. Arrangements entrusted to First Memorial Funeral Chapel, Duluth.
