Dave was born on January 26, 1945 to Rudolph and Harriet Clausen and he went to be with the Lord on December 17, 2018 at the age of 73.   When Dave turned eighteen during the Vietnam war he volunteered and joined the Navy serving for six years.  Even though he was 6’3” tall he volunteered for duty on a nuclear submarine and served a tour in Vietnam.   Dave married the love of his life Kathy and not only did he get a wonderful wife but he also gained his step-daughter Michelle.   Dave’s love for Kathy and Michelle was deep and strong.   He was a kind and gentle soul that will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife Kathy and his parents Rudolph and Harriet.

Dave is survived by his siblings Jan Anderson and husband Mark, Robert Clausen and wife Dominga, and Loren Clausen and wife Tammy; step-daughter, Michelle Boe; grandson, Erick Boe; many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at 10:30am with service following at 11:30 on January 8^th at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Ave South, Edina, MN 55435.  952-924-4100.   Interment will be later that day at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
